Jegs 800-345-4545 sells a professional burrett kit (128-40300 $109.99) and accessory kit (128-40310 $59.99) for this.

Eric, are you planning on cc'ing your heads? Are you getting some milled?

John, doing a little research. I have some ideas on some stuff and want to see if they pan out. Maybe easier to read books but it is fun to try. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

You have mail.

Thanks guys, that was the exact info. I needed. I could only find the tray part at jegs.

Check with Sigma, Aldrich, or any other chemistry supply store. If you have a local university you might check with their chem dept. You should be able to pick up a buret (100mL is what you want) for around 60-70 bucks. Glass, plastic, Teflon/PTFE stopcock, etc. - don't worry about any of that stuff.

There is an article in Car Craft about how to CC heads this month. I think this is what they used:
http://www.powerhouseproducts.com/st...Code=POW351150

If you dont need to be very accurate here is a $30 one http://www.powerhouseproducts.com/st...Code=POW351155

Thanks J. That is exactly what I am looking for. Something cheaper than Jegs. <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

Also, thanks for the heads up on the article. I am out the door right now to the store.

Big thumbs up to everyone for their help.

Anyone know what fluid I should use? What about water with food coloring? Good idea, bad idea?

I ordered the kit and it should be here any day. I also got my heads so I am ready to start rolling.

Hmm, antifreeze maybe? Something that wont bubble easily.

Found a guy's webpage, he used 70% isopropal alcohol from wal-mart and a couple drops of food coloring.

"I like alcohol because it's easy clean up (it evaporates). Other gearheads I know have used water, transmission fluid, and antifreeze, just to name a few."

Thanks. I actually got the kit today. Very nice!! Defintely use the performance products website above instead of Jegs. Jegs was outrageous!! $$$$$

Off to walmart and then back home to start cc'ing some heads! <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

Just a little FYI, the kit reccomends 50/50 alcohol/water mixture. Too messy for me since I don't have a garage. Just a kitchen table. I have to hurry up before she gets home and finds a set of heads on it. <img src="images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

Both the kit and my heads came in today. what a day!

Update: I just got back. I still have a few hours of law breaking time in the kitchen. <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

I wanted to report that they sell green colored 70% alcohol at wal-mart. Could this day get any better? <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

And Gladiator is on one of the movie channels.

Well, I got 1 chamber cc'd. ~67.3-67.5cc it is.

However, would you believe that the stinkn' buret broke? argh! this day stinks. <img src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" border="0">

All I did was turn the valve to the off position and it just broke. <img src="images/icons/frown.gif" border="0">

I am calling the company to see what can be done, if anything.

Eric

That sucks, I'd definently call them about that. I hate that I sent you a link to a company selling junk <img src="images/icons/frown.gif" border="0">

Tom, <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0"> The countertop is now sterile but it smells like wintergreen alcohol!! Translated, I got busted!!!! <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="images/icons/blush.gif" border="0">

I want to give a big thumbs up to Power House Products. They are sending me out a new one today. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0"> They were polite and nice.

Maybe I can CC the rest of my port this weekend.

I would like to add that getting the heads level is very important. In fact, you want them on a surface you can adjust because as you fill the chamber (when it is almost totally full), I had to tilt the head very slightly (just put a little pressure on it) to keep the air bubble over the fill hole. It would be a great advantage to have someone helping you out.
