As some of you may know, i cracked one of the cylinders in my block, and am in the process of taking it out of the car. Since the block was damaged, I bought a new shortblock that came with all new stuff, (except for lifters, etc...) Is there anything off the old block that might be worth a couple of bucks to anyone????
I'm assuming I've got 7 good pistons/rods/bearings, that the cam is good, and that the crankshaft is good, as well..
maybe I could just melt down the aluminum???

Why dont you just have it resleeved? Has to be cheaper than a whole new engine..

Jeremey, oil pan should be fine, unless I bang the $hit out of it while removing the engine, I'll let you know..

I'd be interested in the timing cover and the misc. small stuff, I have a bare 6.0L block. When they say bare, they mean BARE, no freeze plugs, oil plugs, etc.

I could use the timing cover, rear cover, the plastic lifter retainers, cam cover plate, and lifter valley cover, if you don't need to swap it to the new motor, and any oil passage plugs. I think that's about it.
