Well I have a brand new set of LS6 Patriot heads, just waiting to be put on, I'll give my results when I"m completed, I would go with Patriots, I read many of posts in the archives that stated members having problems with oil in places there should not have been on Dart heads, and the ported Darts had alot of problems with the oil.

I just had a set of PP LS6 STAGE II heads installed along with a 218/224,.605/.581, 115 cam. No dyno numbers but I gained 6 mph in trap speed (113vs 119). Car runs strong from idle to 6600 rpm. Great throttle reponse also.

I had so many problems with the Patriots 5.3 I wouldn't buy anything else from them. My vote is for the Darts.
Good luck,
Al

I'm happy with my dart 225's and I'm on the stock bottom end. I don't have any numbers yet for my new setup, but it is making great power in the midrange and pulls hard up top but I'm still shifting at 6200 for now. The main problem I'm having now is traction.

Old thread. But anyway, as some said the Darts are not great out of the box. With a little work they are very good. On the other hand, by the time you spend the money to make the Darts perform, you could but a set of AFR, ETP or TFS heads.

well, i have an LS6 intake, the Patriots with the 2.055 ferrea intake valves, i have a cam with more duration and a bit more lift then the one you specified and all the supporting bolt ons, through an M6 on my friends mustang dyno i put down 430ish to the tire.
so i think your 450 to the tire is a bit out of reach with the patriots, unless you're using a dynojet/egobooster
i'm not sure how the Darts stack up against the patriots,

I've seen several times people making significantly less power on a dynojet compared to the mustang dyno. Dynojet is the real #, Mustang dynos vary dramatically to the owner's preference.

Our runner volume is 227 +/-. This is one of the smallest 243 ported runners available. Our stage II heads are built with only the best products available, Patriot Gold springs, ti retainers, machined Super 7 locks, Ferrea valves, etc. These heads will perform very well for you. Yes, there might be a short wait for them, but the wait is well worth it.
Gunnar speaks the truth. I am running these and am more than pleased with the product and service
