Questions about compression ratio... (search not working)
I'm trying to calculate exactly what my compression ratio will be in different situations. I just disassembled my 100% stock LS1 shortblock. I'm using this calculator, and I'm not sure of the numbers it's giving me.
With all the default values the calculator says 10.0:1. Isn't the LS1 10.3:1 stock? Where are these values wrong? I was pretty sure that an '02 had .054" head gaskets where they have .055" entered. Also, I thought the combustion chamber on the LS1 heads was 66.67cc, not 67cc. Are these right? Are there any other inaccuracies in the default values here? All I'm changing is piston dish size, gasket thickness, and combustion chamber.
Thanks in advance, everyone.
