Hey everyone! This is my first post over here and I had a question or two. I installed my Direct-Flo by myself, but I am not anywhere close to being an expert on working with tools. I plan on buying the following mods soon, and I wanted some input as to whether i am capable of installing these by myself, or with a friend.
ASP pulleys (crank, alternator, and AC belt)
MTI ported throttle body
Pace LS6 MAF
Fernco mod
160* thermostat
So, should I be able to take care of those without too much trouble?? Thanks a lot for any replies.

Without:
ls1info.com
installuniversity.com
torquecentral.com
I would still be taking my car to a shop for an oil change. Less than a year ago I knew nothing about cars and ls1s in general. Now I am installing headers, camshafts, induction pieces on my car and other peoples cars with the help of all of the online documents. Do not be scared to install stuff on your car, just be smart about it and follow "all" directions. After the first time you install something alone, you will feel great. This will lead to letting you install bigger and better things. <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0"> Go for it!

You know I feel the same as wicked.
I have worked on cars all my life
but the net has opened a new can of
worms and insite to installing parts
and the results of them.
I have been collecting articles, posts,
pictures and more for almost 1 year.
Im glad that my effort on ls1info.com
has helped more than myself.
Enjoy your car..

Alright, thanks everyone. I will try to do all of them by myself. Hopefully, everything will turn out fine. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

quickWS6: The throttle body, MAF, and t-stat are all pretty easy. You may want to start with them to get your feet wet. You may need some special tools for the pulley. ASP told me to let a pro do it when I asked about ease of installation.
Wicked Ls1: Thanks for the links. I use Install University all the time, but I hadn't seen the other two.

along the lines of everyone elses replies I'm going to quote someone from LS1.com. I dont remember who said this but if you are on the board, chime in and take credit for it. The quote is "you could pay someone to install parts on your car, and you could pay someone to have sex with your wife, but I like to get down and dirty..." or something like that. Anyway, do you get the point?

The pulley is not that hard to do.. Just make sure you have the right 3 arm puller to do the job. Also you will need a new crank bolt when doing the install.....

Yeah do it yourself. Go to pep boys to get the pulley puller. I'm not sure of the part number but you pay a $50 deposit and get your money back when you return it so you get to use it for free.
