how do you use ice???
Some guy's still do it on their LS1's, I personally saw no gain icing down the intake between runs.
Well, the water and condensation from the ice bag won't hurt the motor. But, icing the LS1 intakes doesn't really do anything. The composite material doesn't "heat soak", therefor there really isn't a need for icing. This trick is more widley used for the LT1 aluminum intakes because they love to hold in heat.

Would icing down the throttle body help at all? Its of metallic composition and does hold alot of heat.

Well, it couldn't hurt but don't expect to be able to tell a difference. The just air doesn't contact the TB long enough for much cooling to take place even if you had the TB freezing cold, IMO. Maybe someone should dyno test this? Actually put a TB in a deep frezzer overnight.
