Default putting my H/C..combo together..need a lil help, thanx

Okay my car is my only means of transp. It has a Yank ST-3500 comp cam 212/218, FLP's and all the major boltons. (pcm tuning too, via e. wright)I hope to get this h/c combo in the car soon.

i've decided I want to go with GTP Stage II heads. The only part that im stuck one is which cam i want get with those heads that will compliment my car. I go to the track atleast once or twice a month.

I am going to get smogged next week, so i will be able to judge by that testing, how much cam i could go. I think i will be stuck with the 114 lsa. I would like to spin the motor no higher than 6500-6600RPM's. I dont really care about low end torque, as i have the ST-3500 to take its place.

so what cam do u guys think would be appropriate? Thanx for your input.

Jack

Take a look at the Cartek H cam. It is a 222/226 113 with a .567 lift. http://www.cartek.net Then go to the engine packages section to see all their cams...

Everyone that has a Stage II heads package with that cam has passed NJ and PA emissions. It is a fairly agressive cam and it sounds very nice at idle and at WOT. I heard one at Cartek yesterday when I dropped my car off to have my heads and cam package installed.

Let me know what you think.

Dan

Check out the good ol B1 it has been proven to work pretty good time and time again. it will also pass the dredded sniffer if the computer is tuned properly (idle speed). That would be my choice. But as we all know everyone has their own opinion

If GTP is doing the heads, they need to pick the cam. You can't just mix and match!

Thunder 220

Terry, as long as Craig @ GTP knows what cam you are using, everything will be fine. He has had experience w/ all the Thunder cams.
