Remote Knock Sensors ?

I had a spare pair of knock sensors (with wiring) laying around and decided to mount them in an aluminium bracket, then rubber mount the bracket to the fire wall.

So far so good. Any other issues with doing this? TIA

What are you hoping to accomplish by this? Are you just trying to eliminate false knock?

Thanks GeorgeC, I have resonable dyno figures after installing heads & cam, with no knock reported on the dyno. Although top end is low down the 1/4. I suspect false knock mybe causing it to lay down up top. ???? M6.

why don't you log some 1/4 mile runs and see what is going on with the car via autotap

I've sold about 20 of the KnockOut boxes so far. Nobody has any complaints with them yet.

Mounting the K-sensors externally might not provide them with enough activity to monitor. Our PCM looks for activity with them, and measures the changes in voltage that occur when they pick up the sounds. Autotap runs will tell you for sure.
