Anyone know why FTRA is more expensive than Whisper/SLP models??
I am looking into getting FTRA for my car and noticeed that Whisper and SLP sell what appears to be identical sets for way cheaper. All three are made T304 stainless steel, anyone know if quality/install is the reason for the price difference? Thanks.

I think FTRA came up with the idea. Maybe thats why? Its a few pieces of sheet metal, I doubt there is any difference that matters.

Here's the story.
The FTRA was made off of the 'idea' of the SLP setup. The SLP is lacking the lower 'duct' that attaches to the air dam.
The Whisper is an exact copy of the FTRA. Get either one of the two, I got the FTRA a long time ago when Whisper hadn't come out with the copy yet.
Dope

SLP was first, and as a result have the less effective one. The SLP will not cause overheating problems, some have said the FTRA can in warm weather. No problems with the SLP, and I've had it on the car over a year.
I jumped on the SLP CAI when it came out, if I had it to do over, I'd get the FTRA
Regardless of which you get be ready to change or clean your air filter more often.

Colonel, do you see double the gain by having both?
Sorry, couldn't resist...

LOL! Yeah, the only problem is not grounding out over those pesky speed bumps. No biggy, I just use that extra power from having DOUBLE RAM AIR PRESSURE to wheelie over the blasted obstacle!

The SLP kit is just a cold air kit. It sits half way up the ac condenser and is not in the path of oncoming air. It also does not seal off the air box very well. As such, there is no pressurization or ram air effect. Lastly, it does not include a removable front seal or block off plate.
The Whisper kit is a direct copy of a previous version of the FTRA. We were one of Whispers customers on their intake lids but they felt it would be ethical to purchase one of our ram air kits and have a direct copy made. No improvements, no development time etc. They also have poor instructions and customer service.
As a result of all of this, they can sell their kit for a little bit less money. Keep in mind that our new version includes improvements to the kit itself and also the best customer service and support you will find anywhere!

FastToys Ram Air all the way Oh, I guess I'm biased. I'll vouch for Phillip, he truly is an awesome person to buy from.
