guys with slp long tubes get in here! where did you buy them and for how much? do they sound meaner than stock exhaust with borla,with the high flow cats (emissions)?

Re: guys with slp long tubes get in here! I have them with the Borla wide open. It is pretty damm loud under a load. It sounds good, but be prepared not to be able to sneek around your neighborhood. <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

out the distances to lift the car.
They sound good at idle and WILD at wot.
I got them at LS1SPEED during a GP for $6??

Re: guys with slp long tubes get in here! I love my SLP Longtubes. Sounds like a Nascar at WOT with my loudmouth bolted on. Can't take the car out too early in the morning or late at night, or the cops are following me because they hear me coming 3 blocks away <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Re: guys with slp long tubes get in here! I like my headers. I havent had any problems with the law and I have cruised by many cops since I got them installed. Of course I dont cruise around in 1st gear going 40mph.

Re: guys with slp long tubes get in here! I bought my set on a group perches from TByron, can't remember the price. I had my set installed by Top Jimmy Racing Wasilla Alaska. The best $500.00 dollars I ever spent (for the install). They added a lot of SOTP torque, after the install I did have a harder time hooking up at the track. Easily smoke the tires from 45 to 50 mile roll (M6). I run no cats, SLP Ypipe, stock exhaust. I have a cut-out installed just under the back passenger seat, fits in the indentation real nice there. I always have the cut-outs open. When I drive around town and I'm trying to be quiet I just short shift and keep the RPM's down. I never had a problem yet from the cops, but if I run the R's up and jump on it my wife swears she hears me from two miles away. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> If you do not install the cats you will not have any problems with clearance. I say they are a great buy if... You can afford the cost, don't mind hard work on the install or don't mind paying for the install, If I were to do it again ...I would.

On 2 identical days (temp, baro, humidity) at the same track:
Went from 13.22 to 12.91 with the only difference being the LT's with ORP's.
Sound great with the slp dual/dual. Quiet at idle but roar when you get on it!

The only thing that could be called a problem was that some of the wiring on the passenger side is pretty close. Its not touching an we stuck a little wielder cloth in there for added protection and it seems to be fine. They look great, sound good and I paid $500 for mine (used bargains <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> )

Re: guys with slp long tubes get in here! I have the SLP LT's w/Race Pipes (no cat's) and the Loud Mouth exhaust. It is crazy-loud! I love the performance. The sound is raspy, but I like it. It's hard to talk on the cell phone now, but maybe that's a blessing in disguise...
