The way I see it is that you guys with Aluminum Blocks/Heads are leaking and having problems.
I am building an Iron Block, and I have used the similar Gaskets in the LT1, which are the Felpro #1074's, they worked no problems. We will have to see I guess.

well lt1 and lsX are a differant ball game, i have always used fel pro's on SBC and lt1 gasket it just that other than coolant passages. i sprayed the **** out of high compression lt1's with 1074's too but not sure if i would try that with fel pro's and lsX's or not from what i hear. im using gm MLS with copper coat, and a 200 shot, so far so good. the reason alot of folks have issues with the cosmetics is because they require alot finer RA roughness on block and head than what most old schoolers are use to. alot of older shops cant even produce the RA {80(i believe dont quote me)needed with there machine's.
