Default What parts to soak in oil?

What parts do I soak in oil and how long? I'll be putting the heads and oil pan on my shortblock this coming week. Soak everything in the Rotella T 15W-40 right? I know you're supposed to soak the lifters and that's pretty much all I know.

put the lifters (after you clean them thoroughly) in oil only long enough to get the air out and soak into the bearings nothing else should soaked.

When putting my heads on, should I pour some oil over the valve springs and dip the pushrods in oil?

I was told by the engine builder to run this in the motor the first 1,000-1,500 miles. He said it contains stuff that really helps the motor during break-in that other oils don't have.

Soak the lifters like stated above, and when you assemble the engine, dip the pushrods, and then pour some over the rockers and valvesprings... It's not gonna hurt anything that's for sure, it can only help

It has a LOT of Zinc which is the main ingredient in preventing wear in HIGH pressure metal/metal situations. That is why owners of flat tappet cammed cars use Rotella T a lot.
