Friend of mine told me about 98 LS1 Edit being available at a shop already... Any other shops have it too?

Heard is in MI, and I heard it was like $450 for a fullout tune... I would have preferred to hear it was $___per hr. Might still be, I have not talked to the shop directly.

I agree with you PSJ, it should be based on per hour basis. If I wanted something changed next week at a shop it shouldn't cost me another $450 !

There's a shop version that will be out that costs quite a bit more than the single version of course but is usable between LS1's. I'm sure shops around town will have it and sell hourly time with it. Oh I need it badly, theres so much that program will do for my car it is well worth $450 though.

hell, all iw ant is to get rid of the EGR, TM, and other misc things that set codes. i don't have anything else done to the car that would need programming. it sucks having to pay that much for that stuff

Has anyone heard about when it will be available to the public? Probably at least a year for the 98's.

Not a year, maybe a month after the single user 99-00 comes out. 97-98 is in Tuner Beta right now. They are going to be sending out a single user beta version of 97-98 soon. (hand raised)

They are slowly, slowly, rolling out single user betas starting this week with one or two. They do not want to ship a bunch only to learn they have problems and have to bring it all back in.

After the single user betas get some seat time, then they'll do the full release.

This is status as of the emails I got earlier today...

I can hardly wait for the '99 single user. I've been saving my money (and waiting to install my cam) hoping that it will be out soon.

Maybe they will jump in here with the info.

That would be Speedworks. Coming to other local shops too

To say I am highly interested is a "gross understatement".

Thanks for the 411 PSJ.

Campbellini, it's out at three shops thus far.

I talked to one of them on the fone, APG in MI. It's the closest one to me... 5 hrs or so.

Looks like our local guy has it too...

BV Performance (formerly Zap)

I'll most likely get together with him and do some dyno tuning.

Tuning: What all can LS1 Edit do?

Engine Functions: Base Spark
Spark Advance

Power enrichment
7 fuel tables
injector size
engine size
MAF size
Idle speed
Rev limit
Torque management

General:
Cooling fan on/off
VATS disable
Differential gear size
Tire size
Top speed limit
Electronic throttle hysteresis (corvette only)
EGR system on/off

Transmission: Shift speed

Manual skip shift

I have only one word to say.

Thunder Racing has it on the way. Jsears8 ('98 model car) will be dynoing his "new" mod hopefully on Saturday. Geoff will tune it, if need be.

Angie's Z28 picked up ~15rwhp after Geoff tuned it a month on the dyno using the software and the wideband O2 sensor. Just goes to show you what this software can do in the right hands!

What about deletions and masking codes? Can it do that too?
