Default Yet another retarded question from yours truly

Hey all...another retarded question for you guys. Now I know you experts will be straining for this one but hey. I'd say everyother time I fill my car up for some reason gas spill out of the tank..now I swear I'm not as retarded as I sound but if its almost empty and I hit the handle just for a few seconds gas starts to spill everywhere making me look like a moron in the process. Any ideas? It doesn't happen everytime and its quite strange anyone own up to this? Car is a 99 Z

I have a solution to your problem. Here goes.....

-Get out of your vehicle
-Open your gas cap cover
-Unscrew your gas cap
-Approach the gasoline pump
-Notice and monitor all settings display on the LCD before you
-Select your grade
-You will see a handle poking into view to either you immediate right, or your immediate left
-Grip this handle with one full set of fingers and release from the main gasoline pump
-You will notice a curved shaft protruding from the end of the handle, and a release pedal in the center
-You will notice a hole placed directly in the center behind your gas cap
-Insert the curved shaft into the hole
-Squeeze this pedal with decent pressure and hold
-When the pedal releases, end your pumping session and insert the handle and shaft back into it's original location

Couldn't resist, sorry .....

And for tech tip # 2 ...........

"starting your car"

1. Get inside the car
2. Place the "KEY" into the hole on the steering column
3. Turn the key to clockwise until the engine "turns over"
4. After the car is running don't start it again

Congrats.....you just started your car...

Okay I won't tease you.

It sounds like the filler tube isn't venting properly. Why? I don't know. Look for any blockage or loose items around the filler tube. You may have to fill it using the middle setting on the handle rather than full blast. It'll take longer but that should give the gas time to drain into the tank. Mysteriously, on occaision, my 1985 Riviera does the same thing. .. gas all over my shoes. It sucks.

If that doesn't work, you may want to try pulling into the pumps that say, "full serve" and let a pro handle it. hehehe

sigh.. I just can't seem to figure this one out myself. T-top after T-top left on the highway. How do you guys work the T-top off and hold the steering wheel straight at the same time? I mean I keep the cruise set at a steady 70mph.. I guess I just don't have the right dexterity.
