Headers and Cam Install
Thanks, Sawacs

I see you are in Texas - MTI is having a special.
$350 for cam install if you purchase their CAM package which is $599. $350 is the cheapest you'll find. A shop in Clinton Township, MI called Automotive Performance Engineering (1 of the more reputible shops) quoted me $1,000 just for cam install.
SLP in Troy,MI charged $450 for Header Install.
I wish I lived near MTI. Good Luck!!

The one person in Billings to whom I am trusting the cam install quoted me 13 hours, which equates to between $550 and $600 I thought I was getting screwed but it doesn't seem exceptionally bad after seeing some of the other numbers here. Man, that $1650 number...I'd be in there and then Had I done this while in TX or were I not 1500+ miles from MTI, it would be there for $350. Oh well, it's just $$$, right?
Thanks again, Sawacs

Thanks for the reply fellas..
Silver99z, what would it cost to have the oil pump replaced just for good measure? Would it be a major pain in the ****? I am hoping for around 360 to 370 hp maybe with the headers and cam along with my current mods..
Thanks again, Sawacs

I think the pump is about $180 if you buy it from Agostino. To install, you have to drop the pan. Don't know for sure if you have to raise the engine. I don't have a breakdown specifically for this install, from Nick, but it certainly would be less costly to do the oil pump while he's in there doing the cam. I would be happy with the same horsepower you're looking for.
