with new bolts which were hex -head.
Anybody know if Vig's use metric or

Re: Broke a TC Bolt..need your help I don't know what if anything is up with the Vigs, my Yank came with bolts. I'm pretty sure the GM replacement bolts are now hex.

Broke a TC Bolt..need your help Damn allen head bolts. <img src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" border="0"> I don't know why in the world these things were invented, but yea we had to drill one of the bolts out of my TC cause one of the allen head bolts stripped. Maybe because I have a 98 and the TC has never been taken off but these things seemed like they were welded on! I've tried going to a hardware store to find a replacement, maybe a hexhead bolt or something. Is there a replacement for these bolts? Maybe from a different year TC (GM)? Or do I have to go to the dealership and get some more of the crappy allen head bolts?

just get a grade 8 bolt same length

Re: Broke a TC Bolt..need your help Yea, I tried a hexhead already but it wouldn't fit for some reason. I took the bolt with me to a hardware store and the closest bolt to it was a 10mm bolt. When I tried it on the TC it wouldn't fit. I wanted to use a grade 8 bolt but the guy at NAPA said to go to the dealership since it is an iron bolt. I'm thinking a grade 8 would be stronger than the original. And it is a VIG, it's a vig 3200. Does the VIG use a metric bolt? Thanks a lot in advance!
