SLP Dual dual vs stocker
im looking for a more quiet muffler than stock (flps+orps). i put a post before and most people said either the dynomax, or the dual dual. looking at the dynomax's (race welded..) i cant find any with a dual exit. that makes me think that the d/d would be my next best option. i dont care about flowing, just quiet
i need some input as to how the d/d sounds compared to a stock muffler, on a same car.

Well I had the dual/dual come stock on my car...I sold it a while back which was a big mistake, I would now love that exhaust...its really quiet when you have cats on the car, if your running ORP's it can be just as loud....and yes roy its one of the BEST flowing exhausts on the market...
The dual dual is louder than the stock system

Well, I don't know that a Dual/Dual or Dynomax system would be more quiet. If you're looking for a system that's even quieter, then I don't know where you'd want to look.

I originally had a 3.5" Mufflex catback on my SS, but it just got too loud. I bought a used SLP dual/dual system, and it's MUCH quieter! I'm running the FLP's with ORP, and most people are shocked that I'm not running cats when they hear the car. There's not one bit of rasp, and it's just really quiet. I can only imagine just how quiet the car will be if I put cats back on it! I've yet to personally hear a quieter catback for our cars. Keep in mind that any exhaust system that comes on a car stock has to meet the EPA's requirements for the maximum allowable sound. Did I mention that I bought it used with 5,000 miles on it for $200 + shipping?
I've track-tested the dual/dual twice with no ET or MPH gain with the cutout open vs. running through the catback. Of course, this will depend on how much power you're putting to the wheels, but I have yet to put enough down to make the dual/dual a bottleneck.

2OLT flows just as good, maybe better. It’s louder than the dual/dual though. Not as loud as others though, and no rasp that I’ve heard with ORP...

Re: SLP Dual dual vs stocker
look at the post guys- i want quiet.
i know how the 2otl sounds- badass.
i have a TA, so it would look lame with two pipes out one side anyways.

Don’t judge it till you see it on my car I’m putting it on next week.
There is no better flowing or sounding system, IMO. I also think it looks cool, T/A or not.

i dont care about sound or free flowing
i got the mccord power plate, so i can just crack open the cutout with the flip of a switch
sound --i still have the stocker, so ANYTHING would be an improvement over this, hehe.
