Had the T1 ordered, but seems the kit wasn't as "complete" as I needed it to be, or available in the time frame I had in mind. So I ended up getting the TR 224 on 112.
Is there anyone here running this with the A4 and stock heads? I assume that I'll gain the ususal 25-30 hp. If you are running this, give me some idea of what I have to look forward to once this is installed. Thanks Geoff for taking the time to talk to me & answer all my questions. Thunder rocks!!

I can't wait to see your results with this cam! I've looked at it for quite a while now. Peak torque is right at 4k, and that's PERFECT for the Vig 3200. After jotting down a few different ideas for what I want to do, I've decided that I want a cam to work with my Vig 3200 instead of just getting a cam and buying a different converter to work with it. I like the streetability of the Vig 3200.
Good luck with the new cam. When do you expect to install it?

I've got one on the way (Thanks Geoff!) and I will post dyno results by the end of the week.

I've got every bolt on there is, except for the EWP, with dual exhaust, 3:73 on the factory 10 bolt. I'd be very happy with close to 370 after tuning, stoch heads. It should work out good. Patrick should have his on before I can get mine. I most likely only be able to show track improvement, not dyno. Thr track doesn't open up until the first of April up here.

I see more hang time in your future for those front wheels at Stanton this year.

Hopefully the rest of the drivetrain will hold up, esp since I also have the Compucar 150-200 shot on there also. I should be able to at least carry the fronts a little further for the boys at Stanton...
Bob, let us know how that works out.. I should have the cam broken in & the computer tweeked by opening day, the beginning of April.. Looking for low 11's with full interior & mid-low 10's on spray.

The cam is great in an A4. Driveability is excellent. It idles well at 950. It wasn't necessary to do any computer reprograming except for using a HPP3 to reset the rev limiter and up the shift points. The cam loves a large shot of nitrous. Your expectations seem to be within reason. I think you will be very happy with your choice.

What about emissions? Anyone pass emissions with that cam at 114lsa? Also Gold Z how did you raise the idle to 950rpms without programing?

Awesome Patrick! I know you are going to love the cam.
Black Sunshine: We installed the 224 112 in a local A4 car with CNC heads. Intially, he had the 220 112 cam, but wanted a little more lope at idle and power. He said he lost no driveability going to the larger 224 cam compared to the 220. The car has 3:73 gears and a Vig 3200. It pulled upper 390rwhp w/o tuning, an ASP pulley, or a ported TB. Good luck!

I have the Thunder 224 on a 114 sep. It put down 363hp with my other mods at Norris Motorsport in Orlando.

Josh - You can raise your idle by drilling a larger hole in the blade of the throttle body or by opening the TB blade more via the set screw on the pass.-side of the TB. The head of the screw is facing down, so you'll have to unbolt the TB to get at it (at least I did).

you can also take out that screw trevor and install it from the top so you can adjust it in the future with out taking the TB off or using a 90 degree Torx wrench
