What type of valve train did you use with the B1, and what are your shift points/rev limiter set at?

I have the moly hardened pushrods and the k-motion springs, and titanium retainers. They all came in a package that I bought with the cam.

Since everything sounds upgraded/new...maybe a bad rocker arm?

Gotta pull the valvecovers and find out.

Having had the valve covers off many many times with my spring problems the easiest thing to do is take off the cover. With a small ratchet and exstenstion you can take off the cover w/ the coil packs and everything attached, just unplug the main connector and the plug wires, lift the whole unit as one.

Thanks for the tip. That will save a little time. It sucks because I won't get a chance to check it until another 2 weeks.

Default I screwed up my car. Broken valve spring?

I stepped on the gas at about 30 and took it up to 80 or so. Right after that I noticed my car was running a little ruff. Then the check engine light came on and also started blinking. When I got home I opened the hood and turned it on and heard a sort of ticking noise or noisy sound coming from the engine. Is it a bent pushrod or valve spring? What else could have been damaged and how hard is it going to be to get it checked. Thanks

Car running rough and ticking noise sounds like a push rod... Push rod's aren't all that difficult to check, pop the valve covers off (if it's an LS1 you have to remove the air lines for easier access, take off coil packs, and then the coil rack and finally teh valve covers. Then you take off the rocker arms (one at a time, after removal of one check push rod, if it's ok, replace and put rocker back in... i believe 22ft/lbs of torque but lets wait for confirmation on that))

If it's running rough a bent push rod would prolly be pretty noticable. The shift points were stock right? You didn't raise the rev limiter?

So long as it was shifting at normal RPM I wouldn't think you'd have any valve float (possibly causing piston to bang valve).
