Blown Head Gasket?
How would i know if i had a blwon head gasket. THe motor only has 38000 miles on the car. Its ideling really weird right now, and i asked a guy that knows quite a bit about cars and he said it was a blown head gasket, or a the cam is going flat, he hasn't heard the car yet, i just want to narrrow it down, and hope its not any of those two. Any input would be great.
Coolant burning smell, loss of power, and milky looking engine oil are indicators of a bad gasket. Do a compression and leakdown test to see if the values are low, if so you have a problem somewhere. The milky oil is a dead giveaway of head gasket failure.
I just hope i dont have blown head gasket because then i won't be able to get my converter installed because i will have to buy heads, and a cam to fix the problem. LOL.
