cam and heads
I'm new the this board, and new to the LS1 game.My question is how much sence does it make to do a cam change with stock heads? I'm the previous owner of a lt1Z and most of the best cams wouldn't work with the stock heads. Is there decent cams that make good hp w/stock ls1 heads. I would appreciate any and all responces, thank u.

An MTI T1 cam will work well with stock heads. You will make more power with ported heads, of course.
You will enjoy the LS1 cam swap.. it's very easy and you'll get good gains from it.
Thanks for the info. Hows the idle with that cam. If you happen to know.

Slightly rough. Will idle fine in an M6, and "decently" in an A4. Any cam will see more gains with computer reprogramming.
sorry so many questions, but I just bought the car a month ago. 99 A4 with 19,300 miles on it. Getting very antsy to go fastet. thanks
Thanks, I don't mind a little rough idle. How about on the spray, I have 125 horse dry system.

I'd go with a split pattern cam on the spray if you want to see the best numbers on spray. Ask some of the nitrous guys what they are running.
