Re: Project 2002 TR224 S2 dyno results
Not at all,I was not going to Atco after seeing the winds were gusting to 34MPH early.Dennis said they were as high as 50 at Atco and I know that can be a handful when your going 120+I wasnt gonna take any chances of getting killed.Like Dennis/WS6 said they cut the faster cars down to the 1/8.

I only encounted bad winds once, and thats all it took to scare me away. Back when I was running 107-108 MPH I felt the car get shaky up top, it was not fun. I will not race on a windy day, not worth it.

JS why can't you just say your congrats or not say anything at all?
Why do you have to pick, pick, pick? You wouldn't appreciate if someone did that with your setup, so why can't you just suck it up and stop with the indirect insults and accusations.
Joe's initial post was straight up and to the point. If you are impressed by his numbers, then say so... but don't use it as an excuse to take some cheap shots at Joe or Dennis, and then compliment the setup to cover yourself.

Don't you post this crap on a PUBLIC message board and then tell me to stay out of it. If you didn't want other people to see your comments and wanted people to stay out of it you would have emailed Joe or Dennis directly.
I believe this is not the first time you said you would leave Joe and his customers alone.

Re: Project 2002 TR224 S2 dyno results
All things considered, I think that his ET and MPH is concurrent with his dyno sheet and vehicle weight in less then stellar track conditions. To re-cap, this 2002 has 3:23 gears, stock tq converter, sway bar connected, threw cats with that ET & MPH. The Vig 3600 is getting installed along with 3:73 gears, conventionally cooled EWP (experimental) with a very short belt (16"?) to run the alt only on an ASP UD, !air box! cat converters deleted, Borla wide open and re-tune edit (add more fuel across the board) on the dyno and we are looking for about 420 RWH with a locked down 3600 Vig. Then for the track have the sway bar removed, welds and skinnies installed, seats removed along with the jack and spare and we will try for 11.20 @ 120+ or hopefully better. (gotta get lined up with Onyx at Cecil soon!) <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
I believe that with the 3600 stall with M&T tire only will take it from a 1.84 60' to a 1.55 is a reality witch would yeild an 11.50 or better with no problem, It's bench racing for now, but I think it can be done from past experience. fingers crossed!
Joe.

Hey Joe find my other post about doing this. It's a 305 length 4 rib belt I believe, and I use the idler pulley relocated below the alternator to tension it. It goes on really easy and works well.

Thanks everybody for the encouraging words <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> I think 11.99 is pretty cool for a full weight WS6. Can't wait for the converter to go in <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> A big thanks to Joe and Tommy for putting it all together. You can't go wrong with JPR!!!!

02BlackWS6,
You might actually like the car better with a stock convertor. It will certainly be a little easier on parts and you can sorta hook up on the street a little better. With that Vig 3600 that car is gonna be nasty at the track for sure though! FWIW I dropped 7 tenths with my little Vig 2800 and an ASP pulley. Of course that was dead hooking at ETown on 26x11.5x16 slicks. What tire will you run? I would suggest the smaller 10.5" wide slick since you have stock gears. You want to try to get as high into your powerband as possible and the 10.5" slicks are actually a little shorter then the 11.5" slicks even though both are advertised as 26" diamter. So you would gain a touch of gear staying with as small a tire as possible....Good luck to you!

Ken,
It's funny you say that. After the heads/cam install, the car was an animal with the stock converter. You just barely crack the throttle and the car would rocket to 60mph in no time <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> And anything more than 1/3 throttle would result in serious wheel spin. But we did the converter on Saturday and let me tell you the car is a beast!! The Vig. 3600 is a great converter. It creaps as soon as you lift your foot off the brake, and i have no lock-up or codes what so ever. I love this converter. And it only has about 100 miles on it. Well, i'm gonna try using my BFG drags but i think i'm gonna need something better. My car is flat out awesome!!! Again a big thanks to Joe, Tom, and Paul at Thunder racing!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
