T-rexish cam.. DDing, and what else can I refresh while in there?
As I've been speaking about for a while now, I'll be swapping an LS1 into my LT camaro. Before I drop the engine in, I'll be swapping the cam out(well, the shop will). The engine will have around 60k-80k miles on it, what are some weak points that I can them refresh while the engine is apart?(well parts around, or changeable during a cam swap). What are the weak points of the LS with a high revving engine(6800ish?).
I should be getting another car so I don't have to put all these miles on my LS, but I might need to drive it alot sometimes.

should be out of a 2000-2002 ss.(not that the ss matters). I mostly meant which weak points in the block/heads should I change that aren't normally changed in a cam swap.

If you keep the automatic, you should seriously consider installing a high stall torque converter before you add the cam. A T-Rex with a stock converter is slower than stock cam in the quarter mile (ET-wise).
