It is the 226/234 112LSA 554/575 lift cam with STOCK tuning.

It is the IAC hunting to find the right idle as I just reset the computer and had accidently drilled out the T-body blade too much. It is idling around 900rpm. Near the end of the clip I hit the throttle up to about 2000rpm <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Sounds good, Chris... (hoping to hear mine again someday)...
I wouldn't have thought it would idle that well with the stock tuning. Do you still have the M6 program in the PCM? If so, I imagine that's why it idles as well as it does, since the M6 idle speed is a little higher than an auto. My old 226/226 cam idled @ 1050rpm and was still "choppier" than the sound clip you posted.

That could be it you know <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
My car was originally an M6. My T-body is dilled a little too much too so that is probably why it is smoother sounding. I get the occassional surge at lights up to around 1400rpm but other than that it isnt bad. The power is awesome, I am really happy with everything so far.
Cheers,
Chris

Sounds good chris.
sholud be a monster.
But I have to agree with George, the 226 is choppy as hell with the stock tuning. I'll try and get a sound bite up for you today or tomorrow.

I have always had SES's lit up for random misfires even with the B1 cam 221/221. I also have other codes where my EGR is removed, M6 tranny is gone <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> (Converted to 4L70 trans) etc
I have a piece of tape over my SES light LOL
I also unplugged my IAC and it has smoothed everything out considerably. No more surge at all. It idles at 1050rpm in gear and about 1100rpm out of gear. (I am still a little too big on the T-blade hole) I just have to hold the gas for about 10 seconds on cold start up to about 1500rpms and then it is perfect.
Cheers,
Chris

Sounds familiar, Chris <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
If you decide to go custom programming, you will not have the "rpm hunting" that I heard. The rpms will stay constant at whatever you set it for (about 1000 for me) Also, you won't have to use the throttle on cold starts. My 226/234 literally starts as well on a 10 degree morning than it does when it's 75 out.

cool man thanks <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I only have the cold start issue as I unplugged the IAC. When it is plugged in cold start is fine but I do have the surging you are talking about.
I cant wait to get some tuning on this bitch and see how it works <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I believe map sensor is responsible for causing inconsistent and rough idle, it doesnt interpret choppy vacuum/pressure in intake when using cam, properly, so it doesnt adjust correctly. I wonder if adjustable map sensor (similar to maf translator) would clean things up. Well just food for thought.
