Default valve covers

are there any other valve covers besides the Katech ones that clear for a solid roller? I'm looking at running the Jesel ss series. Also, who makes the valve cover spacers?

Thanks

I have several sets of tall billet covers that will clear a solid roller conversion

Jay,

Where do the coil packs go if you get the tall valve covers? Do they still have provisions to bolt up using the stock brackets?

Thanks,
Kyle

you can mount the bracket's on top of the covers or i'm prototyping now a coil pack relocation bracket and a custom set of wires that should be ready real soon

Jay

I think they are going to retail for around 499 but you'll have to check with Jay on that for sure.

Here is a close up pic as well.

Am I the only one who finds $500 for valve covers to be absolutely insane? Jees... the most expensive ones in summit are $170. What a bunch of B.S. <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" />

That's not the most expensive valve cover that Summit sells. Call them up & ask them how much it costs for a set of Moroso sheet metal valve covers to fit Ford 351C (yates style head). The last price I got was over $800 retail!
By the nature of a billet valve cover you would be starting with a 25 lb chunk of solid aluminum & machining away everything that is not valve cover. A much more expensive method than a cast part, but also a much higher quality part.

Just my $.02

Air21, just another thought I had... You mention a solid roller cam and the Jesel SS series rockers. I don't believe the SS rockers are adjustable, and therefore wouldn't be suited for a solid roller conversion...

Geroge is correct, the SS series Jesels are non-adjustable.
