Need help...burning oil after heads/cam I installed TR heads and cam about 2 months ago and I am stil burning oil. I believe it is only comin from the driver side. It puffs out when I start it up and it really comes out in te uper RPMS. Can the valve seal be cracked or something? I dont think it woud be the ring because it si fairly new unless they dropped somehting in there. I will run a compression test as soon as I can but doesn anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: Need help...burning oil after heads/cam Did you use sealer on intake rocker bolts they break into port when most port jobs are taken to stage 2 level. This would allow vacuum to pull oil in to port.

Re: Need help...burning oil after heads/cam I have GTP II heads (ported never run cores) and TR220 cam and have oil consumption problems too. I occassionally get a small puff of blue smoke at startup and on heavy acceleration. My plugs are not fouled either.My rocker bolts were teflon paste sealed. I get about 1k miles a qt if babied, If hard a qt about 300-500 miles. I tried the truck pcv valve but it got worse. I did notice when I did the LS6 intake swap all my intake ports were heavily coated in oil. Next on my list is a compression check. I also have quite a bit of valvetrain noise too.
