I am also doing a cam swap with winter, and just bought an ASP pulley. I figure since we have to yank off the stock balancer anyway - I might as well upgrade it at the same time.

Well i may get flamed for this one, but I went with a Fluidamper. It is only 10% underdriven, but it is lighter and has even less rotational weight, it also supposedly dampens harmonics better through out the entire rev range rather than just at certain rpms. I have had several of them and have always had good luck with them.

Why not, go for it. What was your final decision on the cam specs?

with just the crank pulley it is possible for the lights to dim at idle, but tyou can buy an alternator overdrive pulley to fix that.

I've never heard of an alternator over drive, can you shed some light on it?

Because of the extra alt strain i'm pretty oppsed to them, save a race car.

You can buy it in a kit with a crank underdrive pulley. Its just a larger alternator pulley to keep the alternator spinning enough even with the crank underdrive pulley.
