Any thoughts on the SLP double roller timing chain?
also has anyone proved that this is a "rollmaster" double chain???

yes it is....even the instruction sheet is the same. How much they selling them for?
Thinking about getting one with the new motor buildup, any reason that I shouldn't? I kinda like the double roller idea since I may end up with a solid roller with enormous spring pressures one of these days

SLP = Rollmaster with some badgeneering! I've got one and have ordered another, for my next engine. The stock unit is pretty lame for a decent valve train....

it is a rollmaster, yes. but be careful when shopping around - most are selling the cheapy one, SLP is selling the NITRATED version only.

the difference in cost is about US$10....cheapy? it is still the same set but nitrided. Use the non nitrided stuff in our speedway engines and only ever change the chain once a year-no gear wear. Now this is with 260lb on the seat 600lb+ over the nose driving p/steer as well as fuel pump...don't think you have any worries with the non nitrided set on a streeter with 340 over the nose...the engine will be worn out before the chain set!!
