Check the plugs, wires and fuel system first. That size cam should stay running.

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge.

I know exactly what your problem is.. I've seen this exact same thing before, and it had NOTHING to do with fuel, spark, anything. You tripped your vats.

It's your anti-theft system. I forget exactly how to reset it so you can run the car. I know if you searched on this, you'd find your answer though.

Try a spare key, check fuses, have a new key made, could also be the ECM.. but that's the area you're having trouble.

And good luck with the car hope she runs scalded

The security light turns off when the key is on...could it still be VATS?

I think not.

Check for fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail. And can you hear the fuel pump buzzing?

the vats is what i was getting at. Will it start good everytime, no matter how many times u try it in a row? Repeatedly start/run shortly/stop? now that the vats light goes off, that may mean it is not it, but i would try resetting it anyway.......however, i had my car without power for over a month, and it didnt trip anything, so its weird that you should have to reset it. Try some of the other suggestions listed above also, we'll get it figured.
