Default CARTEK "Z" package makes 458 RWHP and 408 RWTQ.

We finished dynoing the car tonight and there is still some final tweaks to be done on it. I feel that the 3 muffler Borla system on it is probably to restrictive for this set up and we are going to redyno after a new exhaust gets bolted on in the morning.

Here is a link to the dyno graph ----> http://www.cartek.net/images/rom458.jpg

A big thank you to Roy, Rich, Ray and Dave for pulling together to get this done and ready for the challenge.

Nice numbers, but completely meaningless if we don't know the specifics of what went into the car. How about some "more detailed" information?

What does a package consist of?
What does the package cost?

Give us info!

My Cartek "X" package dynoed 426 with 4.10's in a 6 spd C5
I have run a best of 11.23@ 121.95 with a 1.701 60'. I have a coupe that weighs over 3500 lbs. with me in it. Oh, it also has 73,000 miles on it

There are a few others with the same package in lighter hardtops running quicker. 11.07 and 11.10 I believe

Are you running the LS6 or LS1 heads?

Looking at that dyno and comparing it to my old setup with a vacuum leak/rocker arms hitting retainers/cam only tuning. My car was making more horsepower all the way up to 5200rpm. That tells me you are using a 226 and above cam and are getting pretty good with ls1edit. Actually I think you are probably running a 230 cam..

Julio,
I understand the "secret squirrel" stuff, but you can still give us the basics of what went into the car. (i.e. cam, stage 2 heads, etc.) You don't have to divulge the exact camshaft spec's and that stuff. Just give us the basic information.
Thanks,
Todd

Like JS's LS6 Cartech race package that peaks at 6800rpm and runs 11.18? with a 4.56 gears, 28" slicks, and a 4500rpm stall?

What was the correction factor on the dyno runs?

I stand corrected... That is making killer horsepower.. First time I ever heard anyone admit they used 3.42's on a dyno pull recently..

As usual Terryble is trying to stir the pot by knocking my setup and saying Carteks dyno is not accurate.

First off Terryble my setup peaks at 6600
JUST LIKE YOURS DOES.

I run a 4.56 w/a 28in tire
WHICH IS EXACTLY LIKE YOUR 4.10/26in

I run a 280lb HEAVIER car than u
Mine 3600
Yours 3320

I run a 4600 stall
U RUN A 4400 STALL.

My car has run a BEST of 11.14@122 on 26in ET STREETS/4.10's TERRYBLE at a RW of 3460lbs.Your slightly mistaken.

Lastly one of your close friends out in Cali email me and said u have the desire to be a women?I told them that was impossibe,U already had a vagina.

What TERRYBLE fails to tell u is 3 different cars running the Cartek X H/C packages dynoed at independant shops and were off less than 3RWHP from what Julio saw.By the way these shops have no vested interest in Cartek.

Terry how many of MMS's Corvettes hold and H/C records here on LS1 Tech.Oh yea thats right NONE.

In defense of records.. MMS claimed long time ago they dyno'd over 450rwhp in a 346ci and we all said Now that everyone is doing it we see no problem with this? Next year we will have the same companies putting out 480rwhp out of a 346 with a Hyd cam.... Cartek is going to have the Z3 cam and MMS is going to have the 229v8
