Fel-Pro #1041 head gaskets ?
041" Compressed thickness and 9.4cc volume.
I got mine from Summit.

I tried to order Napa gaskets a few weeks ago and after waiting 3 weeks I was informed that they could not get them. At first one side came in and the other side did not. Then instead of the other gasket a shock came in instead. Then they said it will be a few days until the other side came in. Then after I called and complained, they did some clicking on the computer and said that the other side is unavailable. This was at the Gaithersburg store.
<strong>Anybody using them?</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">are you sure on that part number - 1041 does not seem to exist?

I should make it clear that they are a solid steel core with a composite coating.
Stock gaskets are perforated steel cores with graphite coating and have no 0-ring inside the fire ring.
Looks like you can forget about getting any GM gaskets separetly now.
I tried a few days ago to get 6.0 MLS gaskets but even those are now only sold in kit form with the TTY bolts.
Seems Napa is now no longer a source either for the old Victor graphites.
The larger bore on the fel-pros will work fine with stock bore ls1's.
Mr.Gasket also has a MLS gasket in 3 large bore sizes.
I went with the fel-pros as they seal well and this type gasket has held up pretty good for me in the past.
You also get .011" tighter squish with these gaskets over the older stock graphites which is a good thing <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

It was the GM parts folks that I was having problems getting the gaskets from.
