Don't forget about spring bind as well. With the extra lift you may run into a problem.

Fit/form/function are the same, nothing to make any difference. Anticipated production use of '01 head determined the price. It was determined that the '02 head would also be used for the '03 model -- more production less cost in a nutshell.

You can get that info from the manufacturer of the springs you will be using.

Terry, you will need extra valve length for 2.00" valve installed height, those heads are not cut spring pockets deeper friendly. This will change your pedestal height for geometry and will cause interference with valve covers(on all but race covers)Jesel rocker system should be used. As for 13 to 1 compression with welded up chambers, if you plan on using big flow valves, you wont be able to"fill in " very much of chamber without hurting flow around valves.I am assuming your not using much of a dome on piston of coarse.Large displacement will give you adequate compression with mildly milled LS6 head, 58cc? Good luck with this just remember price of finished product reflects on how impressive it is IMO.

I'm planning on using adjustable shaft mount rockers + shims + longer/shorter pushrods to dial the geometry in. I'm going to let MMS do all that. Also I will be using valve cover spacers to move them up a bit.

Much more money than my Stage2x LS1 heads (~$1850), but on par with what MTI et. al. charge for regular LS6 heads outright wo/ shaft rockers and titanium valves. I'm going to sell my current heads/cam to help offset the cost.
