High Performance Hyd Lifters?
Other than the Comp R lifters, are there any other high performance lifters I can get? Are the Cranes any good? I'm looking for something that can stand ~400# open pressure and 7500rpm.

They are the only aftermarket LS1 lifters that I know of and are what I use.

I'm taking a gamble and throwing in the crane OEM replacements. for 170 dollars can't hurt but I wouldn't try 400 lbs on them

Wait a minute. I may be confused. Now that I think about it I can't remember if I have the Comps or the Cranes.
I'll find out.

the comp cams are on back order. The company that they buy them from went out of business, go figure. I canceled my order because ther were 1500 sets on back order

The lifters that I recieved from crane were nothing like the stockers. They are basically a metal cylindrical tube with a small ring and hole about the center. You can't see but just the very tip of the roller. They were slightly lighter than the stockers, and had the oil fill hole on a different axis as well. They look basically bomb-proof. When I find the box, I will give a part number.
They installed fine, but are as loud as hell. The car sounds like a sewing machine.

FWIW, there are 2 styles of OEM lifters. I can't describe them well, but 1 has a complete cage over the roller area, the other has parts cut away on the cage with less material. The newest OEM doesn't have a full cage and are weaker. Started in '01 from GM??
