I remember another car posting low tq #'s and then a week later it picked up.. I still think this cam is pretty stout. The ls6 intake should pick up some..

Numbers arent too impressive for a cam that big. Several people with stock tuning, small 221/221 cams, through cats have pulled more than 380 rwhp (myself included, hitting 402/378 before finally adding heads).

OK, Terry I wanna know your guesstimate on how my car will react with these heads with a similar cam? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

What is the CR on the heads you're using? You should pick up around 40rwhp, mostly high end. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

My heads are just 5.7 heads milled .030.

So you think I would gain 40hp over the 381hp putting me at 421hp? I make 435hp with a B1 cam right now.

What does your car run?

11.31 at 122.4mph with a 1.56 60 foot time(6m) Haven't made any 1/4 mile runs since I picked up 10hp with Ls1edit..but did run the 1/8th and gained over a mph.
I'm aka Smoke_ur_5.0 on here also. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

He's only at 380rwhp right now with the large cam. Most guys are around 400rwhp using similar cams with stock heads. The guys who are at 400rwhp usually go to 430-440 with good stage 2 heads. I expect this guy to pick up a similar 40rwhp.

Just throw some heads on his car and let us know how it works out. I've already made my 435rwhp and run 10s so I'm not going to get anything out of this research. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Well don't you think that an ASP pulley and a LS6 intake would help him out Terry? Another thing to consider is that my gain was 385rwhp(with all the bolt ons including ASP and LS6 intake) with a b1 and added heads to that and went to 435rwhp with just heads and tuning? I think if he got some good heads along with the other missing bolt ons he should be able to probably match my results right?

the way you talk almost makes it sound like your car is special compared to everyon elses car? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

Specs?...give you another hint. 111 lobe separation. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I would have a better chance of believing the 420rwhp if it were on a different dyno. It seems if someone puts these same parts on a car across the U.S. and put on a dyno there..... the numbers never seem to add up to what you get there.
I'm not here to say this is the cam of all cams but it is big and it should put out some even better numbers with heads....381hp is still pretty good mind you not.
I'm sure the car in question will get to the track soon and give us 1/4 mile times.

I do know my car made 435rwhp on the same dyno (same day, I dynoed my car right before him) and has run 123mph through an unlocked TP4400. Next time out I'm going to drop the catback and lock this sucker for some 125mph trap speeds. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
