I was wanting to know maximum lift before I had any valve cover issues.Does anyone know if a .595/.595 lift will work without slapping the rocker arms on the covers?

Valve lift and valve cover clearance are not related. The only time it would even be remotely dependent is if you had to run a different rocker setup (taller) with longer valves to accomodate a larger cam.

Shane is correct <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
You're probably wanting to know about piston to valve clearance. It will be close and I would not install a cam with that much lift without checking it.

It was an issue on my '98 T/A when we swapped over to a set of 1.8:1 Crane RR arms from the stock 1.7's.

Sounds like your good to go then <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> If you decide you need valvecovers the billet ones from Jay Fisher Pontiac are gorgeous. Me and Shane both have them on our cars
