Default Good heads for torquer v3?

I wanted to do some head reasearching and I want to narrow down my choices. Basically, the cam is pretty big with lots of lift so i have to be careful with ptv clearance. Car has full boltons.

Stats are 231/234 .644/.598 111lsa

Id like to make the most power possible. What goals should I look for and what aim the compression to be at?? I realize there is more to heads than flow numbers and dynos are very misleading as well. What heads can i not use since the cam is big?

It is a street car but I love to take it to the strip and stuff sometimes.

Planning on keeping ls6 intake, will possibly use nitrous with the heads and upgrade the fuel system.

ALL NEW PRC LS6 CNC Ported Heads

ALL NEW 220cc PRC 5.3L Stage 1.5 Ported Heads

Get these as a cam/heads package if you can, much less inepensive. Also mention you are an LS1Tech.com member...Some sponsors offer discounts to members over their internet pricing. NOT ALL though so ask!

Its duration that causes PTV problems

The lift is also an issue. Since the valves get opened soo big, they are open bigger throughout the entire duration. You have to be careful when choosing heads with this type of cam.

I already have the cam installed so won't be doing a head/cam package purchase.

These issues are not a problem if you get the Texas Speed heads I mentioned above...No fly cutting pistons (unless you are getting the head face milled down for some reason)...just bolt on and have fun! Best answer would be to simply just call Texas Speed.

Larger diameter valves in the 5.3 heads are going to eat up some of your PTV clearance. LS6 will leave you with more room, especially if you have to mill them to get the compression where you want it. I didn't see a CC size listed for either head.

I'm running the T3 with the PRC stg 1 heads. The combo works VERY well together. The car makes plenty of power everywhere for me. There would be plenty of clearance with the Stg 1 heads or the 5.3 heads. We can set the 5.3 heads to clear the MS3 so the T3 will have no PTV problems.

What intake is being used and what are the other stats on this build? Also what type of dyno is it? That is most likely the setup I will go with.

Well I would guess it is an LS6 intake since he has an 01 and a ported TB. You know If I had a fast intake it'd be in my signature line. His other mods are listed in post number 10 of this thread.
