Default H/C or STS

well I have most of the bolt-ons and some spray and I'm hungry for more speed. the spray is great but I want my car to pull that hard all the time and still have n2o on back up if I need it. anyway I have been looking at the texas speed H/C package but now the sts system has been catching my eye. the only thing I didn't like about the only sts camaro I have seen was the piping sticking out in front of the back tire. I would bottem out everytime I go in and out of my driveway. my car is a dd and goto the track every once in awhile. but I'm out every weekend looking for trouble gas mileage doesn't matter to much as long I average 18 or better combined. I have 3.42s and plan only going up to 3.73 or maybe 3.91. p.s. long term dream is a turbo 408 but isn't it everyones

I voted H/C. You'll learn a good deal along the way to getting a good H/C setup. You'll eventually want to replace the STS with something much better.

I voted h/c. With a good H/C package you gain just about or as much as a sts. and still have the nitrous on top of that. You couls easy be pushing over 500rwhp with the right heads and cam with the bottle. I would look at Mti,TSP,THUNDER, and LG Motorsports They all have some great cams and packages.

I voted STS , later add forged shortblock , 72cc ported heads , small turbo cam etc . smooth drivability with massive power gain and it doesnt require refills . If you still need more then you can run nitrous also .

Depends on your bank account. Good heads like AFR, ETP, and Trick Flow are expensive. If you don't want to spend that much, Patriot Performance 243 castings are great. Either way make sure you mill the heads to achieve around 11:1 (around a 63cc combustion chamber) static compression and choose a cam that will yield around a 8.4-8.7ish dynamic compression. Download Pianoprodigy's calculator and play around with the numbers to see how different things affect each other.

if you ever plan on doing forced induction i wouldn't do Heads/cam first. Typically you will find that N/A power is a different route than Forced induction.... so i voted STS

I'll do something like an STS system and a cam swap at a later time. However, for most people the STS system will provide power and ease and retain stock drive ability. I'm fairly well versed at tuning so if you're not you need to factor in more $$ for tune. The install of H/C isn't hard but the STS kit is easier for sure.

The STS kits are very nice and wok really well, I have personally rode in a 383ci STS car and it was an absolute animal. But with the STS you can say goodbye to the nitro cause your cylinder pressure will be high enough as it is for a DD and reliability.

The Texas speed kits are nice and a MGS3 has a tame enough idle so it wont hurt your daily driving routine. I think the MGS4 is a little too rough and hard to be daily driven and it will get old wrestling with the idle and things if you get into any traffic.
