Default CAM SELECTION -

I'M GETTING READY TO DO MY CAM INSTALL AND HAVE 2 CAMS HERE AND WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR OPINION'S ON WHICH ONE TO INSTALL:

MTI B1 CAM 221/221 558-558 114

SPEED'S CAM 224/228 563-563 114

I WILL BE RUNNING THE JUICE WHICH IS WHY I HAVE THE SPLIT PATTERN CAM BUT I THOUGHT THAT THESE LS1'S WERE JUST BETTER WITH A SINGLE PATTERN CAM? IF YOU ARE RUNNING EITHER ONE OF THESE CAMS GIVE ME YOUR .02 PLEASE.

THANKS <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Those cams are not good for spray.

Choose another.

Too much overlap? What would be your preference?

Thanks

Go forthe one with more exhaust, you'll need to clear the way for the next intake charge

I was told by someone, on this board I believe, that you want more intake vs. exhaust if you intend to spray and want the greatest gains.

Now someone correct me if I'm wrong, as I have no knowledge of cam specs and how intake/exhaust have any effect on N/A use and N20 use. I'm looking at getting a cam soon, and with the info that was given to me I was looking at something from thunder or speed in a flavor of 227/224 112-111 lsa. Am I wrong as far as intake and exhaust is concerned with N20 use? I am using a 125-150 wet shot. Thanks.

Unless you start spraying over a 200 shot then I wouldnt even be picky about your cam choice.Just choose one that does good N/A and you will be fine.Intake vs exhaust I thought it was better for the exhaust side to be bigger for n2o but I could be wrong.

power adders like more exhaust duration whether it be nitrous or FI. like he said, dont worry about cam specs until youre spraying over a 200 shot.
