Who has the largest duration reverse split roller cam? Looking for a thumper. Who is making some "good" reverse split solid roller cams???
powerband 4000-8000. healthy amount of duration.

A Big Big cam with stock exhaust manifolds & heads will be self-defeating to say the least.

Re: Who has the largest duration reverse split roller cam? If you're running a sheet metal intake, it may defeat the purpose of running a reverse split cam (which is to balance the excellent exhaust with the mediocre intake).
By eliminating the intake restriction with a sheet metal manifold, you will probably go faster with a big single pattern cam. Stick with an LS6 manifold and a reverse split cam makes sense.

The sheetmetal intake is from Speed Inc. Raughammer. I have not put it on the engine yet. THe engine is a 408 (4.030 bore 6.0 block and a 4.00 crank)
anybody know who (other than Crane b/c I already got one from them) has some good BIG cam profiles for a solid roller. I guess anybody have some experience running a big race roller in a ls1 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Who has the largest duration reverse split roller cam? Ditto with Patrick's comments, you will have no need for a reverse split cam with a big hogged out aftermarket intake.

Re: Who has the largest duration reverse split roller cam? You might e-mail Allen Futral. He's a sponsor on the site, and he's been playing with solid rollers quite a bit. You could also ask Joe Kizzire. He stepped up recently with a bigger solid roller, and the duration @ .050" is around 260. That's pretty chunky when you consider that it's in a 370 cid engine. I ran a 265/275 in my 468 BBC!

Re: Who has the largest duration reverse split roller cam? FWIW it sounded like Joe ran some 7.3's 1/8th mile with his new setup (~11.49 1/4 mile). You might want to think twice about running such a large cam, unless the car is really set up for high RPM.
