From what I have seen, they usually pull around 300hp. Take or give 5 or 10. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

I dynoed 290rwhp with a K&N and a flowmaster muffler. I have a few more horses now. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

It was a "factory freak" if it dynoed anywhere near 300rwhp.
I did 295 *after* lid/filter & SLP aftermarket (uncrushed) "Y"...

Seems like the 98 A4 cars were about the lowest on the dyno from all I have seen.
My 98 TA A4 with lid, ported MAF and cat-back dyno'd 293 (corrected)
Don't know, but was maybe 280 bone stock

I have a 98 M6 SS. My first dyno with lid, K&N, and a bullet muffler welded where the stock one was yielded 312 hp and 331.6 trq. After I added SLP LT with NO cats it jumped to 337.1 hp and 354.2 trq.

My first LS1 was a 98SS M6.
It had the single cannon on the left.
It dynoed 288rwhp bonestock with 750 miles on it. This was on a dynojet that we feel shows #'s that are a bit low. IMO 98-99's are good for about 290rwhp give or take. The newer ones with LS6 intakes tend to be around 300rwhp around here. It's all relative.
I did the Po' Man's Borla, lid and filter and did 300rwhp. I did headers, cats, y pipe, catback and did 326rwhp. I'm sure with a pulley, tuning and no cats the car would have hit 340rwhp.

oops that was with a PD 4.5# Blower and headers, custom catback and 3,73s <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Cheers,
Chris

I said I dyno'd 293 in my 98 A4 with lid and catback.
That may sound low, but you have to remember, the folks that have posted 300+ on there 98s had cars that were M6s. A bone stock M6 will always dyno higher than a stock A4 with an Un-Locked converter.
Fact of Life.....
I stick to my opinion that your average Bone Stock 98 will automatic transmission will dyno right at 280 rwhp (SAE corrected)

Couple o' years back, GMHTP ran a '98 Z28 at 12.8 bone stock. They also dynoed the car at like 270rwhp.
There *were* some factory freaks in '98 that got the Corvette cam.
