If some of you didn't know my car had MTI S2 heads and a B1 cam, but I recently cracked a ringland and was forced to rebuild the motor. The rebuild consisted of new rings and bearings, ARP rod and head bolts, and the new Fastech F1 cam.
I got the car up and running on Monday afternoon and have only gotten about 200 miles on the motor before I had to slap the car on the dyno.
The only changes from the previous setup were, ARP rod bolts, and the Fastech F1 cam. My previous best dyno pull was 434/405, but that only happened one time. The car consistently would dyno about 420/385 on a regular basis. I work at Fastech so I have complete and total access to the dyno so I have dynoed this car over 85 times in the last year.
Anyway onto the results......
The very first pull we made with 200 miles on the motor, the car made an astonishing 440/400 even. Needless to say my jaw just about hit the floor. The only change I had made was the addition of the F1 cam over my previous B1 cam, and to boot the motor only had 200 miles on it!
I made 10 total pulls with the best being 445/401. Of the ten pulls the lowest was 438/397. So the car was very consistent. This is with no tuning in the car other than the rev limiter has been raised to 7000 rpm.
My setup consists of:
MTI S2 heads (2.055/1.60)
Fastech F1 cam (230/226 .591/.569 112)
Mac headers w/ offroad Y (stock 2.5" collector on Y-pipe)
4" Mufflex
12-bolt rear with 4.11 gears
and the car even had 11" rims with 315's Nitto DR's
All of the runs were made through full exhaust including the crappy 2.5" collector on my pipe.
I over layed this graph over my previous graphs and the cam gained throughout the entire RPM range in both horsepower and torque. This cam is really almost as tame as my B1 was. It is a little more of a chore to drive around town, but not near as bad as I would have thought.
Anyway I am very happy with my setup and will hopefully get some good headers on the car within the next month or so. Track times are coming soon

That is awsome man. Those are some good numbers. Do you have a graph to post. I would like to see.

No I dont have a graph to post unfortunately, but I will try to get one posted in the next couple of days. The new cam made more than the B1 from where we started sampling to the rev limiter in both horsepower and torque.
I can't wait to get some better headers, a tune on the car, and some more miles to see how much horsepower I can make with a stock bottom end

I have come across some G-hanns so I will try and get them on the car within the next week or so
Hopefully that will help get the car over the 450 rwhp mark.

And to think you were afraid to dyno, for fear of being down on power because the engine is so fresh. BTW we should have named this the MG1 cam Matt picked the lobe profiles , jumped on the reverse split band wagon and pulled out a real winner all by him self on this deal. Pat your self on the back dude, you deserve it.

Thanks for the comments everyone . I am so happy with this setup I am still in shock. I can't wait to get this cam in a few more cars just to see how good it really is. Any volunteers
