Ok, i put a post on here yesterday about my car misfiring.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> ...and that FREAKIN TCS light <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> . Well this morning i'm in Mcdonalds and get back in the car. Wouldnt start. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> .after about 5-10 mins of trying, it finally kicked over and started. I called the guys last night that put the cam/converter in my car about the misfires. They say they think its the converter trying to lock up or something. say they might need to adjust the shift points a little. I told them that the SES light was flashing and he said he didnt think it was misfiring. I KNOW thats what that means because it did it before the cam. ok, after nearly 3k for a cam/install (after everybody gets off the floor, that includes 800 labor/700dyno tuning/500 custom grind cam/ and all new everything/gskts/springs/prods..whole 9yrds)i'm kinda bummed now about the whole thing. Can anybody give me some suggestions on this or anything i might need to ask the guys sat when i take it back? (i know about bolt-ons but JS about internals <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" /> ) i'm sorry this is soo long but i would really appreciate anything you guys can help me with here.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

What code(s) is it giving?

When you say it wouldn't start, do you mean that it wouldn't even turn over?

And, other than that how does it seem to run?

I have scanned it yet (cant find my TECH II) but i'm sure its going to be that P0300. When its not doing the misfiring thing, it runs really strong. And it only does the misfire thing after i've been driving it for a little bit. And when it wouldnt start, the motor at first wouldnt turn over, then after a few minutes, it tried to, then after few more minutes, it finally fired up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I just scanned the car and get this, no P0300.
but there was a slew of other ones.

These are the codes that I get with mine.

P0300 Engine Misfire Detected
P1133 HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0301

Seems like you have a few more! Yikes.

yeah, i got a few of them. the first 2 are the MAF and TP sensor...the others are the HO2 codes.
No P0300 thankfully....unless the guys that tuned it deleted it.

Check your wiring and Batt. You have sensor problems with MAF, TPS and both O2's. I can't believe you would have these unrelated problems at once. I can understand why your car runs like crap. Check to make sure your wires aren't touching the headers and have burned through.

Checked the wires....everything looks fine..(ziptied out of the way or covered under the heat wrap for the wires)...???? th O2's i was getting before..buyt just a couple of them.

Reset the codes and fire it up and then recheck. Let see if we can get rid of the random codes.

Ok, i'll try that. That shouldnt mess with the tuning thats in there should it? Also, if it makes a diff, i do have a GMAF. also still have the descreened stock one too.

Resetting the codes does nothing to the programming. That's flashed onto the PCM in a different spot. The error codes are written into something equivalent to a log file. You simply are clearing out the log.

Not sure what to do with your MAF issues. Wouldn't hurt to try the other ones if this next test gives you the same errors. Your tuning will be off a little if you do that. Not sure by how much though.

there was a friend of mine who was getting all kinds of codes and was having a rough running problem when the car warmed up exactly like you said, his car was stock internals though, what it turned out to be was the engine sensors fuse under the hood... after he discovered that 3 or four other people checked theres and found theirs was blown as well... it's worth a try... Good Luck...

Ooooh, now there's a good one. Visually my fuses look good at a glance, but I'll have to fire up the Fluke and test them all out!

Jason, I know this is your daily driver and you are abit nervous. Relax though, Roy and pat will take care of you. Its obviously something they didnt catch in tuning and they will make it right. I wouldnt work on it myself after paying what you did for them to do it. Drop it off and pick it up running right. Im sure it will be something simple. Hell, you definately made some badass #s. I will be watching to see what you find out about the TP sensor code. I have been getting a TP code after my cam install @ MTI. I would just drive down there, but it's an 8hr drive. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
