Default Head Porting...

I got some used (but new condition) 243 castings from an '07 Vette and wondered who does good porting jobs preferably in the Texas area. Thanks!

Greg Good from Houston. Be careful about price. There is always someone cheaper. But like Greg, I got my money worth. He is one of the best and isn`t cheap. But its your money!

Sorry don't wanna Highjack the thread but I also just picked up some 706s 5.3L, anywho called TSP and they said 700 for the CNC and valves that's no springs. I don't think that's a bad deal.... and Predator-Z if you can get that price tell me how.... that's way better then I was quoted.... pm me...Cause if that's the case I might just be able to swing some spray at the same time...

I think i phrased it wrong, it is on average $600 for the porting, then add $$ for valve job and more $$ for springs. So in total ~900+ for assembling and porting a set of heads.
That is what i meant

his price was without valves .... yours are with bigger valves (maybe aftermarket bigger than stock) and the machining to fix them with maybe new seats ..... his price (600) mostly porting and spring kit don`t know wich but I think it might not include springs ... If I remember correctly 450-500 for porting.

Our CNC program, with competition valve job, hand blending, flowing, milling and assembly is around $800, add custom valves and spring kit and the total is $1300. I know it sounds like too much money, but we just had a A4 car make 480 RHWP with a stock shortblock...no kidding.

Check out Portworx Performance at:

www.portandpolishing.com

They kick *** and have free return shipping.

They did my Supra head and I picked up a bunch of power.

Portworx also did some LT1 buddies and LS1 buddies cars as well as a couple of other Supra's that I know of and every one had nothing but good things to say about their work. I know Brian, the head porter, has been doing BUSH cars and drag cars for over 25 years.
