I have the same 224/224 XE-R cam on a 112 but with 2 degrees of advance ground in, and I LOVE it! It has a nice lope to it, but it's not anything drastic. The cam makes some GREAT power! I could not be happier with the performance of my car, with stock heads to boot! My car is an auto, and I have the cam idling in gear at 825 RPM with no problem.

I have the C2. I have run open hooker headers on my daily driver for about a month and a half.
Definitely gets some looks. It is pretty intimidating with open headers, the lope is pretty pronounced in park or neutral. In gear it doesn't even sound like it is cammed. It should less pronounced when I get a full exhaust put on.
It's a great cam, I highly recommend it!

Sounds pretty tame compared to some of the other cams out there. It has a cammed lope to it but not crazy or anything...one thing for sure.
The performance of such a small cam has been very satisfactory.

I was thinking about this cam but, i don't know about a 580ish (not real sure about the specs)on stock heads. Would it be too much for stock heads? I plan to port my heads in the future too.
PS TrevorD i think i ran against you at SLP day you beat me pretty bad. It was my first time at the track, But your car did sound pretty good

hey anti, i think i sent you an email. anyway, does your c2 pass emissions? i ordered a set of thunder racing's stage II's w/ thier tr224 cam w/ 114 lsa. the guy on the phone (very nice people to deal with BTW) said a 112 wouldn't pass emissions, but a 114 would squeak by... any comments? i wanted a 112, but i needed it to pass emissions, so i relunctly decided on on the 114.

It is a little big at ~1.3 megs. My car is an M6 and I have not touched the idle speed nor drilled the throttle body blade at all yet, so it's idling right around 800rpm. At about 40 seconds into the clip i flipped the air conditioner on and the idle gets a bit rougher and it surges a little bit for a few seconds, then smoothes itself back out a bit. Still a tad rough cause it bumps the idle speed up a tad with the ac on.
Sorry for the poor quality of the recording, I just set my laptop back behind the car about 10 feet... this is through a set of FLP's, ORPs, and an open cutout just before the axle. Enjoy.

Up2late- I don't think you sent me mail, if you did I didn't get it I don't think. I have no idea about the emissions thing, I don't have to pass here.
