Default Engine ruined. Where to buy longblock?

Where is a good place to buy an LS1 longblock engine for 1999 Z28 for a decent price?

I don't have a core to trade in.

Thanks.

Try ARE. Nick was very fair and worked with me since I had no core engine either after chucking rods out the side of the block!

We have the new GM Goodwrench replacement engine in stock. We sell it for $4899.95, no core charge. This has a 3 year / 50,000 mile warranty.
1999 Camaro, Firebird LS1 350 Engine

Modifying this engine will void the factory warranty, but if you are looking for more power, check out our selection of heads, camshafts, intakes etc.
LS1 Performance Parts

We can install any of these parts in house, and ship you a BRAND NEW engine ready to go..

As a sponsor LS1Tech, we would be glad to help get you running again.

I just emailed you. My shortblock will be up for sale in a month or so when MTI finished with my new 408 motor. I would like to get $1500+S/H for it.

And if you need a set of stock heads to go with the shortblock, let me know and I can find you a set for around $300.

Email me at tuanle@bmc.com

Thanks
-Tuan

Be careful what you are being quoted.

Pace sells both the LS1 and LS6 long blocks for 4669 plus shipping. Part #s for these LONG BLOCKS (no intake, accesories, etc) are 88894255 (LS1) and 88894254 (LS6).

The full crate motor LS1 (ready to drop in) is $5769 at Pace, Part # 25534322. Pace doesn't sell the full LS6 crate engine, but GMPartsdirect does, for $7100. The part # for this is 12562181.

BTW, I am in no way associated with these vendors. These are just the best prices I could find when I was researching this option last week.
