Autozone - Spring compressor?

I've used the one like the first pic you showed, got mine from O'rileys though. It worked, a little tough on the dual springs, but there is actually enough room to use the tool on the #8 cylinder. After the valve cover is off the head comes up around the springs leaving enough room. Hope this hepls!

Okay I'm trying to start taking my springs off but I dont get how to grab onto the spring with this thing?? It didnt come with any instructions from autozone. It's the rental POS.

I dont know how he broke a bolt if this compressor doesnt require any bolts


Anyway, yea that one works perfect for single springs like the stock ones and 918's...not so hot with dual springs but it will work.....I used it on my car with the 918's and my buddies with patriot duals.

Re-read post #13. Comp 918's are shot peened, if you scratch them you shorten their life. The Autozone valve spring compressor makes a good paper weight, nothing more.
