Re: JPR 382 all bores avalible soon!
Carlos,
I would be willing to try that bore size, I have to get these first 3-5 382s out of the way first, I finnaly have the rings that I want and can continue building the first 3 and should be on the dyno be the end of next week.
And, BTW Shiznity is on factory programming with his auto also.
Joe.

LOL Stevie! My hand/finger healed well, and your heads are done, 291 cfm for a Stage 1 head is okay with you? Call me before your install date. BTW "Chicken Hawk" snapped his drive shaft in half and bent the torque arm. NOS to a 3rd gear shift will do that I guess?

Re: JPR 382 all bores avalible soon!
Steves are a "one off" Stage 1, I realized when I began to port them that the numbers were going to have to be a little higher than usual because Stevie is running a 221 cam, our Stage 1's are usually rated for a 218 cam right down to a factory cam. all of our S1's with 216-218 cams are 400 and over at the rear wheel so there's proof that they flow . Swtvictory, your heads will be done on Friday, I will call you.

Shiz,Thats not to bad but what did u run--->11.?
Your not embarrassed to put the ET up are u?
IMO,We were close to the same weight...
FWIW Shiznity,I ran 11.60's all day long in 75 degree air with JPR's S1/224 setup on my car...
By the way,Who's converter and how big is it?
With more seat time you'll get her into the 10's.
Keep the faith....

Re: JPR 382 all bores avalible soon!
Here is the final update before the installation and dyno tunning. Toms all bore 382 motor has been complete for about 3 days now, His block and 2 others have passed the overnight pressure testing (Thanks for the tip Tony) We begin final assembly tonight, we haven't had alot of time to work on OUR own projects because the cyl head porting demand is very high right now and keeps us very busy during working hours. Here is the revised build for this motor, I decided to run the TR RSP 230 cam,(insted of the TR224) FLP Long tube headers with ORP (instead of the Mac's with ORP)and the other change was instead of our "normal" S2 LS1 based heads, I have a special set of LS1 based heads that have about 50 man hours of porting into them, these are the best flow figures I have ever decided to bolt on an engine, these are "tunner heads" I won't pull any punches here, they ARE available upon request but priced higher than our normal S2's due to the fact that each runner is even more maticuliously ported and each port is flowed with port adjustments about 15 times on and off the bench during runner development. The only flow number I will advertise on them right now is 298 cfm @ .500 and keep flowing past .570 lift, they have an intake port volume of 221 cc's . We are using the Total Seal piston rings which required custom file fitting and takes alot of time, we have incured an additional cost of $239.00 for the new cam bearings, I had no idea they would be that expensive from GM but I heard that Federal Mogul may have them at a better price, I am looking into that today. We are using Cometic head gaskets for Toms motor at stock thickness for the 4.100 bore. The Forged pistons from J&E and are custom tailored to JPR spec's, these will be the standard pistons that will be installed in every 382 all bore motor, they are designed to retrofit in at 10.1-1 so any head our customers bolt on, the compression will be exactly what they were on there old motor (give or take 2%). They are FI/NOS stacked ring lands that will be standard for our 382 motors and will accept up to a 2.08 valve and have 6cc total int/exh eyebrowed for high lift cams. Tom's TA will be dyno tunned through a 12 bolt with 4:10 gears and we have a rough idea of what power it should produce and will be custom tunned in and we will keep you all posted and invite a select few to the session. Bob 2of3, if you see this, please come over and take some motor Pics to be posted please.

Great work Joe!!!!!
I've talked to Joe a bunch about his current and future projects and am extremely impressed.
Great work Joe and thanks for keeping us all up to date and informed.
Let me know when the dyno session is and you know I will certainly be there.
