Default Is this a good cam for me?

OK guys, after almost 4 years of absolutely no mods (and not even much driving), I am finally able to do some more stuff to my car. Anyways, I have done many hours of research and believe I have a pretty good list here. My car is driven on nice days to work or around here. I've been to the track twice since bought it new in Sept. 01. I ran it on the dyno last summer at the local car show. So, I don't plan to drag race every weekend...just a street machine mostly. I plan to keep the car so I could drive on a few hundred mile trip if I had to, but it's definately not a DD. I want to keep my stock heads. I have stock exhaust manifolds right now...with empty cats and hooker catback (see sig.). One question I have is has anyone run a cam like the 228/232 .588/.595 on 110+4 with stock manifolds? 01-02 flow better than 98-00 from what I've read. Also, if you get an LS2 timing chain, don't you need the sprockets too? TSP sells both ways and doesn't specify. Do I really need to change my oil pump if I don't really plan to run much over 6000 RPM anyway? I am still not sure on the valve spring selection either. The PRC kit has a nice price compared to the comp. springs/retainers. Why are they so much cheaper? Sorry for all of the damn questions at once. This is my first real post on here in a few years.
Any comments or advice would be appreciated. Oh yeah, my goal is around 400 RWHP. My Parts List:

TSP/Comp 228/232 .588/.595 on 110+4
918 or PRC springs/ TI retainers ?
TSP ported LS6 pump (necessary?)
LS2 timing chain set
Gasket set
TSP 7.400 hardened pushrods
Pacesetter LTs w/ TSP ORY
O2 extensions (already have sims)
Tuning-not sure yet
10 bolt aluminum girdle/cover with studs
Driveshaft loop

I would get a free flowing exhaust and LS6 intake so the cam can breath first, but the rest looks good. I like Futral cams and the F12 and maybe F13 sounds like they would fit what you want. A new oil pump isn't necessary but I would recommend you get a new one and a ported LS6 would be a good choice. Tune is always a good idea to get the most results from the car and I'm not sure on the LS2 timing chain, I've got the roll master double.

Thanks for the advice. My car is an 01 so it has the factory LS6 intake, right?

Yes, you have the LS6 intake. Good choice in parts, I have a similiar cam. Replace the oil pump since you are already there. Not sure on the sprockets. PRC has a good price on the kit, the comp kit just charges/costs more. With that cam I prefer dual springs over the 918's. You will need tuning, no doubt about it. May want to get your TB ported to maximize the setup and if you can afford it, an underdrive pulley. Again, you'll already have the old one off.

7.425 p-rods
stock oil pump is plenty (but since you're putting a new chain, a NEW stock one will be fine)

Why the 7.425 pushrods... because of smaller base circle?
