PRC Stage 2.5 heads good match for TR224?
I am looking into buying some heads for my car. Current stats on the car:
98 Z28 M6 with stock gears
Stainless Works Headers with 2.5" Y pipe
TR224 112 LSA cam
LS6 intake
Ported Throttlebody
Coolant Bypass
918 springs
TR hardenend pushrods
Taylor 10.4 mm wires
ASP pulley
B&B Triflo exhaust
QTP cutout
NGK TR55IX plugs
LS6 ported oil pump
Katech timing chain
BMR LCA's
SLP SFC's
UMI double adjustable dual rod ended PHB
Spohn adjustable body mounted torque arm with longer bolts
uh....and yeah....Direct flow lid
currently the car only makes 375 rwhp and 367 rwtq after a dyno tune. I am trying to break 400...425 would be nice. Will the PRC 5.3L 220cc Stage 2.5 heads work well with my TR224 and the rest of my setup?
Any input welcome!
Thanks!
Manny

MannyZ28, you need to adjust the smoothing on that graph, it may read a tiny bit lower, but it will be more accurate. As far as the PRC's, I've heard nothing but great things about them, however you will have to flycut, but thats not really a big deal. I say you'll be around 420ish with em'.

Should be a great setup. I have a TSP 225/589/112 +2 with LS1 MTI stage 2e's and did 427hp and 392 Tq in my vette before a tune. Peak #'s didn't go up with the tune but gained 10 to 15 in tq under the curve. Oh, this is with an LS6 intake and non ported TB and Jet Hot headers. Budget mobile.
Also, heads were unmilled with stock gaskets.

I have very early 2003 Patriot 5.3's and make numbers in sig. Combo has a great powerband and makes 352rwtq @ 3000rpms! Cam only TR224 made 389rwhp @ 37? rwtq. You should not have to flycut for that combo. I had around .250" PTV clearance when checking mine.

Thanks for all the great input guys! Yeah, my car is not exactly a dyno queen as can be seen by my low numbers, then again, the 98's had the worst flowing heads, so I'll blame that and the horrendous heat during the time this dyno was done
