Hey guys,
Thought I would share my news for today. I got my car back from Speed Inc. They did a gerat job as always.
Anyways, I am an all bolt-on LS1 with a 3400 Vig convertor and a 581/224/112 Comp Cam.
Dyno results were with the convertor LOCKED.
394 RWHP and 391 RWTQ with STOCK HEADS . Needless to say I was FLOORED. I am so happy I was hoping for 370 and 380. I can post the chart in a lil while.

Nice #s I'm dropping my car off at Speed tomorrow for a cam install. I'm not expecting thoes #s (smaller cam) but 370hp would be sweet.
It just goes to show you how good stock LS1 heads are

From what I've heard, dyno readouts can be shifted up or down by the turn of dial. It is not out of the question that a company would boost a dyno reading for the reason that these numbers are posted all over the web. Higher dyno numbers is more publicity for them. Nobody is being accused of lying. The fact is that dyno readings are not a good grounds for comparison. That is why hp should be figured by using the car's weight and 1/4 mile et or mph.
Furthermore, dyno readouts are affected by gearing and wieght differences in the drivetrain.
hp = weight / (et/5.825)^3
hp = (mph/234)^3 x weight

Within reason, dyno results from the same model dyno are comparable.
I don't know why anyone even bothers posting their results on this board.
If they are low, or average everyone says "that sucks, so and so made way more power/went faster with less mods"
If the results are good, or above average everyone calls BS.

I was just posting my dyno results because I was happy with the results, these seem to be above average for an A4 cam only car. I will be able to back up the dyno numbers with 1/4 times soon.
For what it's worth though, the car feels INCREDIBLY strong. Thanks again to LS1 Speed for doing a great job.

Nice numbers Ryno, hope it goes good at the track. Q: do you have headers and what kind of exhaust system, on dyno. How is the idle quality? And advertised power band for this cam? TIA.

Congrats on the numbers, don't forget that peak numbers can be a little misleading.
I did a before and after dyno at MTI when I did my cam and my peak numbers were +20hp and +12.9 ft lbs of torq. But if you look at the overlay of the dyno graph, I saw that I actually gained up to 30 hp at 6000rpms and up to 28 ft lbs of torque in several places in the rpm range. Far more than peak numbers would lead you to believe.
My torque came on earlier and stayed longer which will result in a faster car, as hp is overated since torque is what accelerates your car. So you want a flat torque curve ideally (of course it will eventualy drop off before 5250rpms).
Anyway, look at your torque and hp curves to see where you gained and how much you gained at what rpms. As per my example, peak numbers didn't tell the whole story. You may be even more pleased.
